CA School Dashboard 2017

Hilltop High School is proud of it outstanding performance on State wide testing. Our overall graduation rate for 2014 was at 87% and improved to 91% in 2015. Furthermore, our ELA Academic Measure improved by 11% while gaining 7% in Mathematics in the 15-16 school year. An area of focus will be on our suspension rates. We are currently the second highest in our district, and very high in one particular subgroup here at Hilltop High School. Our trend for attendance has been moving in the right direction with three years of gains for our in school attendance. At Hilltop High School we are committed to support students continued growth through quality first instruction.

The CA School Dashboard is a new website that shows how local educational agencies and schools are performing on the indicators included in California’s new school accountability system.

CV Promise Neighborhood Parent Meetings – Tuesday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. How to Prepare for the Upcoming School Year

Dear Parents,

The Chula Vista Promise Neighborhood Academic Advocate team would like to invite you to our parent meetings.
Tuesday, January 17th – Financial Aid Night:
You can learn more about the packages and the benefits of completing the application earlier than March 2nd. Also, parents who have already completed FAFSA, you will be able to use the estimate of your Financial Package (Pell Grant/Cal Grant) you have received. Come and learn what it means.
Tuesday, February 21st – How to talk to your teen?
We will be inviting a specialist to discuss how to have specific or difficult conversations with your teen.
Tuesday, April 18th – College 101:
We will be discussing everything you should know in regards to college and universities. We will also go over resources available at colleges/universities. 

Tuesday, May 16th – How to prepare for the upcoming school year?
This meeting we will cover general information dates and deadlines that your teen should focus on to prepare for the next academic year.

All parent nights are from 6:30PM-7:30PM in the cafeteria.

En esta sesión cubriremos información general, fechas y plazos que sus estudiantes para prepararse el próximo año.
