School Site Council

The School Site Council (SSC) is composed of staff, parents, and students elected by their peers. The SSC oversees the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and  carries out the following duties:

  • Obtain recommendations for, and review of, the proposed SPSA from all school advisory committees
  • Develop and approve the SPSA and related expenditures in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations
  • Provide ongoing review of the implementation of the SPSA with the principal, teachers, and other school staff members
  • Make modifications to the SPSA whenever the need arises
  • Annually (and at each semester, trimester, etc) evaluate the progress made toward school goals to raise the academic achievement of all students
  • Carry out all other duties assigned to the SSC by the district governing board and by state law.

    Hello Lancer Families:

The School Site Council (SSC) is the governing body for input and feedback regarding the Local Control and Accountability Plan as well as the expenditure of the Title 1 funding. We need you to serve as a member of this governing body. The School Site Council must be composed of the following representatives: Principal, 4 teachers, 1 classified employee, 3 students, 3 parents – We need you!

We currently need one parent to serve on SSC for this school year. SSC Parents serve a two-year term unless their child is a 12th grader. SSC Meetings take place on Wednesdays approximately once a month beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Rm. 206. Elections for the parent representatives will take place during OPEN HOUSE Aug. 8th.

The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) for SUHSD provides input and feedback on programs and services for Title I schools as well as engaging in input and feedback on the district Local Control and Accountability Plan. This year Hilltop High School needs two parent representatives for DPAC. The meetings take place from 9am to 11:30am one Thursday per month at the SUHSD Parent Center located at 466 Moss Street in Chula Vista. Each site elects/designates parents to serve on the DPAC and elections for parent representatives will take place during OPEN HOUSE.

El Consejo de Sitio Escolar (SSC) es el órgano rector para las aportaciones y comentarios sobre el Plan de Control y Responsabilidad Local, así como el gasto de los fondos del Título 1. Necesitamos que sirva como miembro de este órgano rector. El Consejo de Sitio Escolar debe estar compuesto por los siguientes representantes: Directora, 4 maestros, 1 empleado clasificado, 3 estudiantes, 3 padres. ¡Te necesitamos!

Necesitamos un padre para servir en SSC para este año escolar. Los padres del SSC sirven un término de dos años a menos que su hijo sea un estudiante de 12º grado. Las reuniones de SSC tienen lugar los miércoles aproximadamente una vez al mes a partir de las 3:00 p.m. en Rm. 206. Las elecciones para los padres representantes se llevarán a cabo durante OPEN HOUSE el 8 de agosto.

El Consejo Asesor de Padres del Distrito (DPAC) para SUHSD proporciona aportes y comentarios sobre los programas y servicios para las escuelas del Título I, además de participar en los comentarios y comentarios sobre el Plan de Control y Responsabilidad Local del distrito. Este año, Hilltop High School necesita dos representantes de padres para DPAC. Las reuniones tienen lugar de 9am a 11:30 am un jueves por mes en el Centro de Padres SUHSD ubicado en 466 Moss Street en Chula Vista. Cada sitio elige / designa a los padres para servir en el DPAC y las elecciones para los representantes de los padres se llevarán a cabo durante OPEN HOUSE en la junta de Título I en la cafeteria a las 5 p.m.
