Advanced Placement (AP)

All students at Hilltop High School are encouraged to challenge themselves and take an Advanced Placement (AP) course or college level class during their four years of high school. AP classes are rigorous courses with curriculum designed by the College Board. Taking AP courses gives students a head start on college while still in the supportive environment of a high school classroom. Taking the end-of-course AP exam allows for colleges to see that our students are ready for college level work, and can enable the student to gain admission, college credit, and placement into advanced courses. Hilltop High School offers a variety of AP courses in many subject areas. Students should check with their college(s) of interest to understand the school’s policy on AP credits.
