Dear Parents, Families, and Friends,

As the Principal of Hilltop High School, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students. As a school community, we are committed to setting high academic expectations for each student and providing support systems to assure they meet high standards. Our focus is on addressing School Culture, teaching our “First Best Lesson” and setting high standards for all of our students.  It is our goal at Hilltop High School that all graduates are college or career ready to meet the 21st Century demands.

I am pleased to share some of the exciting and outstanding accomplishments and programs at Hilltop High School.  In 2017, Hilltop was recognized by the Educational Results Partnership and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence for high achievement in student success as one of 1,866 public schools in California to receive the title of being an Honor Roll Star School.  US News ranked Hilltop High 373rd within California High Schools.  This ranking was based on the high number of students having the opportunity to take “Advanced” courses and AP testing.  Our FLAGS program with seven different languages is recognized around the globe with sister schools in more than five countries.  Our two Pathways, Hospitality & Tourism and Information Technology have been serving students for over 18 years helping them to be College and Career Ready.  We have an extensive after-school program “The Hill” that works with the local YMCA and our staff to help to support students in a variety of ways while connecting them to our school at large.

We embrace the challenges of the future while we continue to cherish and celebrate the traditions of the past.  Our remarkable staff involved parents and committed students come together to make Hilltop High School a wonderful and unique place.

We hope that your visit to our website will give you a quick snapshot of life at our school.  Please explore our links to find out more about curriculum, programs, and daily events at Hilltop High School.

I am looking forward to working with you and your student, as we work toward an academically successful school year.

Sincerely,

Thomas A. Gray
