Principal’s Message

“A California Distinguished School”

The Focus At Hilltop Is Academics

Dear Lancer students, parents, families, and friends,

It gives me great pleasure to serve you as your principal of Hilltop High School. I’m humbled to join a legacy of accomplished principals all who have given so much to this school, to our students, and to our Lancer community. This year marks my 31st year as an educator serving students as a math teacher, counselor, assistant principal and now as your Principal. I am proud to say that I’m a product of this district, Bonita Vista High School Class of 1981, I have three boys, all who have attended schools in our district, and a wife who is a teacher at Rancho del Rey Middle School.  I also reside in our Hilltop community; not many principals can say they ride their bike to and from school on a regular basis.

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success that embodies all of what a Hilltop Lancer stands for by building strong relationships with students, parents and community partners.

All of us at Hilltop High School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors, students, parents, and staff, are excited to be here! This attitude will enable us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment. My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

I look forward to working with you.
